A week ago, Kapacity was nominated for the Microsoft Data & Analytics Partner of the Year 2017. And last night, the excitement was finally released when Microsoft celebrated its partners at their annual Microsoft Partner Awards, held at Microsoft's beautiful headquarters in Lyngby.

For us at Kapacity, who love data from the bottom of our hearts, the most important award is, of course, the Data & Analytics Partner of the Year. Three partners were nominated in the category, but as the headline reveals, it was Kapacity who won the prize this year.

CEO Philip Lykke Christensen and Director of Sales Søren Toft Joensen were present to receive the award. Søren Toft Joensen says:

"Data & Analytics is at the heart of Kapacity - that's why this prize from Microsoft means so much. It is a recognition that the everyday efforts of everyone at Kapacity pay off and are noticed. I am both happy and proud to be a part of it".

Regarding the reasoning behind the choice of Kapacity as the Data & Analytics Partner of the Year, Marianne Dahl Steensen, CEO of Microsoft Denmark, says:

"Kapacity is the Danish Data & Analytics Partner of the Year 2017 because they challenge the fact that companies only use 5 percent of the data they collect. The jury in particular emphasized that the partner extracts and structures data to drive and develop new business, improve user experiences and create new products using Analytics and Machine Learning. Kapacity highly embraces the fact that the core of digitalization is data".

This afternoon, we will celebrate the award with cake at all Kapacity offices. And on Monday, our talented employees will continue to convert Microsoft's software into innovative and value-creating solutions for Kapacity's customers.

Kapacity has previously received similar awards, including in 2015 when we were named Microsoft Business Intelligence Partner – an award that has now been replaced by the Data & Analytics Partner of the Year award.
