The new data centre region will be established on Zealand, it will consist of three locations and it will allow for the storage and processing of data on Danish soil.

For Microsoft’s customers – including many of Kapacity’s customers – Microsoft Cloud on Danish soil will allow for developing, delivering and supporting entirely new cloud solutions based on lower latency, high security and data storage in Denmark.

The Danish data centre region will offer Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, and in particular, it will lead to new opportunities for solutions and services for customers in regulated industries.

This day’s announcement covers the most extensive investment in Microsoft’s 30-year history in Denmark. In addition, Microsoft will strengthen the efforts for digital upgrading, with the goal of reaching 200,000 Danes by 2024. The initiative includes further options for Azure training and certification.
